An international seminar on 'Disease Detectives: How to save the world from future outbreaks? was held at the Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies on July 11, 2023. The seminar was organized to create awareness and foster collaboration among the student community in combating health crises worldwide. Dr. Karen Lower, Associate Professor, Department of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University, Australia was the chief guest. She noted the urgent need for collaborative efforts to effectively deal with future outbreaks in light of the Covid pandemic and the importance of active surveillance, rapid response systems and enhanced research initiatives to identify, contain and mitigate health threats. At the seminar, she shared notable case studies and underlined the importance of global cooperation in tackling health threats. Students and teachers from Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies, Sahrdaya Engineering College and Sahrdaya Arts and Science College under the Sahridaya Group of Institutions participated in the seminar.
